Good morning.
and I hosted a poker game last night and I didn’t win, but it was very fun. We should play a Feed Me game soon if you guys are down. I interviewed Gabbriette for Homme Girls.I’m going to Paris next week and don’t really need recs but if any of you have a cool business that you want me to check out, or want to grab a drink, send me an email. I will not be writing the letter next Friday.
The 25% off annual Feed Me subscriptions sale (you’ll save over $10) ends in a few hours. I think that’s all the housekeeping for today.

NEWS:
Most employers must offer time off for abortion care under new federal rules for pregnant workers. Starting June 18, the act requires most employers with 15 or more employees to provide “reasonable accommodations” for a worker’s known limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions — including fertility and infertility treatments in some cases — unless the accommodation will cause the employer an undue hardship. So weird to read this headline alongside the Arizona abortion news.
Are there microplastics in your Graza olive oil? Every olive oil expert I know (I know like three) says plastic bottles are terrible for olive oil. And you might be saying, “but restaurant chefs do this!” But restaurant chefs keep oil, typically, in a larger aluminum container and then decant it into plastic bottles which the oil only stays in for a few days until the bottle is eventually refilled. Brands like Graza, and now California Olive Ranch, keep oil in plastic bottles for months which critics say causes the plastic to leach into the oil – a study by the UC Davis Olive Center showed olive oil is corrosive to plastic. This means that when it sits on the shelf for an extended period of time, olive oil can break down plastic containers, which results in microplastics in your oil. The good news is most people don’t let their Graza oil age, so they’re probably avoiding this problem.
