Wait —Tyler Denk’s post on his own platform has 3 likes and two comments made by one person? Also it’s a sponsored post?

I'm sooooo tempted to have him do a guest lecture....

I think you should—I’d be curious for him to answer why some people have been leaving beehiv to Substack/ building out their own site too. If there’s anyone who could bridge these two platform it would be you! 👀

Ok let me ask him

Wonderful pictures. If I was exiled from New York, I'd live in London. but my wife Debbie would be in Paris, so that would be a sticky wicket.

Expand full comment

There is a train!!! Hopefully you don’t get exiled like the sushi place

BJ Novak’s The Book With No Pictures is top-tier to read to kids, fun and smart

The way I knew in my heart S1E4 was gonna be Chris ❤️

I cherish the memory of my few months in London as a wannabe canal boat girlie and never ventured further west than Shoreditch in that time, but your vision of older, simpler, quality luxury in west London sounds really nice!

Because it’s the most gangster-y dive bar in London that 99.9% of people don’t even know exists! I have had some of my best nights out there. You know the right people! My friend calls it a “wipe clean shit hole for those in the know”.

I hear a lot of other Americans (reasonably) assume London it's just a British mid-rise version of New York. It's not! Energy is just totally different. Manhattan is prettier from the sky, but from the street it's no contest — central London is just on another level.

That said, it's funny how many neighborhoods have direct counterparts. Shoreditch/Williamsburg, Mayfair/Midtown, City of London/FiDi, Soho/SoHo, Chelsea/Chelsea, Kensington/UES, Hackney/Bushwick, etc.

Chiltern’s woman staff uniforms are custom made by Emilia Wickstead!

Hard yes. I basically live at the Firehouse and my nickname for the uniforms is "Under His Eye".
