Good morning everyone. Today’s letter includes:

  • An interview with Feed Me columnist

    Teddy Kim
about his multiple side hustles (writing for Netflix shows, starting a hangover supplement)

  • Bad news for 25-year-old creative directors who have ever used maraschino cherries 🍒 in a campaign

  • An open conversation about culture’s fixation on skincare, “dermorexia”

The day ahead of me is a bit more scheduled than a usual Wednesday. I have a few important calls, a lunch meeting, a drink meeting, and dinner at a friend’s house. All of these in-person meetings are in different neighborhoods across Manhattan. The worst thing for executing all of those things — plus this letter — would’ve been any slight intervention of a hangover.

I got drinks with my friend last night at Anais (as I was leaving, there was a book club called Pages and Pours beginning, and I feel like one of you were there — it looked like an interesting group, tell me who you guys are!!!!) and it was one of those situations where my wine glass kept being refilled before it was empty. When I got home, I took two pills from a new company called Last Call.

You all know

Teddy Kim
as the columnist of Stay Tuned, wherein he writes about Hollywood and tech:

The results from a recent poll I ran in a newsletter.

In addition to writing for Feed Me (and working on mysterious screenwriting and investing projects), Teddy has been quietly building a hangover recovery product on the side. These are the kind of stories that immediately make me interested in becoming friends with people — the stories about building in emerging markets, especially when done simply and efficiently. I’ve tried Last Call three or four times now and it’s always worked like magic (even after several Knicks game Tito’s and orange juices, I’m gross). I figured it was time to talk to Teddy about how he decided to create a miracle pill.

You’ve been telling me about Last Call for a while. It’s so cool to see it come to life and to be able to use it. Why did you decide that this was the first consumer business you wanted to start?
