Pick me / click-bait in the same way Red Scare is. I had a far too long of a dalliance with a very online 34M who told me the wage gap wasn't real. When I asked his source he said "a woman on twitter". To me, this is a niche example of how marginalized groups continue to refuse to come together for the greater good of all. I took skeet shooting for my PE credit in college for what were admittedly pretty pick me reasons (I believe it was me, one other girl, and ten guys in that class and I got invited to so many parties) and I grew up around sport shooting and bird hunting so I'm not gun averse per se, but I do find those photos kind of erpy. I feel like it's aiming for transgressive, not making the leap, and landing just in the land of inauthentic.
