Since when is it a crime to get the bag?
TikTok is SHOCKED that an influencer could afford a house. 💸
Good morning everyone.
I would like to start this off today with a pet peeve of mine. And I will not be calling out brands because I don’t have it in me today. But marketing and gifting teams, I know you’re reading this, PLEASE stop sending people packaged with confetti, useless boxes, superfluous packaging, bad merch (if you don’t know if it’s good or bad it’s probably bad), and unnecessary print collateral. It’s so much waste and it creates a terrible brand experience.
Feed Me party details and some other fun announcements coming soon. Also I have a lot (a lot) of really hot single readers who all want to meet each other so… maybe we can figure out something to do about that. If you have anything you want to tell me, email me at emily@readfeedme.com <3

Another media company is launching a ton of new newsletters
SOME NEWS:
“I’m sitting on the edge of the pool, until now, summer’s been so cruel.” Everyone drop everything — Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars’ daughter Romy dropped her EP. It has the same dreaminess of her mother’s movies and delicious details of her father’s music. We should all be singing more about being pulled into pools and being the good girl and picket fences. And while you’re here, you can read a really old newsletter of mine from when I was young and dumb (27) and waxed poetic about my Phoenix obsession.
The Louisiana state House voted Tuesday to reclassify pregnancy care drugs as controlled dangerous substances. That means possession without a valid prescription is a crime punishable by a fine, jail time or both. Louisiana already bans both medication and surgical abortions except to save a patient’s life or because a pregnancy is “medically futile.” Lawmakers recently turned down proposed exceptions for teenagers under 17 who become pregnant through rape or incest.
It’s so smart that Bella Hadid is making Cannes paparazzi moments about her fragrance brand, Orebella. Her Soho pop-up didn’t seem to push as many sales as planned, and last week Rachel at Puck reported, “the brand did under $350k in sales on its e-commerce site within the first several hours of launching, which would be an impressive number for a non-famous person who started a brand. But for a celebrity, and one with Hadid’s nearly 61mm Instagram followers, it’s an underwhelming figure.”
Jewish students on college campuses are saying their Zionist views are affecting their social lives. Some Jewish students on campus believe these dynamics amount to a kind of litmus test: If you support Palestine, you’re in. If you support the existence of or aren’t ready to denounce Israel, you’re out.
