Fantastic. Joe’s guide to London is actually a guide to the City of London. But that’s a cool part of the English capital, that many locals never visit.

For a full picture of the cultural impact of China’s rapid economic development, I highly recommend this short story by Yiyun Li, Extra: Extrahttps://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2003/12/22/extra-4

Glad you got to try Brigadiers Joe. Gymkhana is a must visit every time we go but this sounds like a great alternative. Also, if you are looking for the perfect room darkening shades in the SoHo neighborhood the London Edition has them. I sleep like the dead when I’m there.

Appreciate the china book recs. It’s hard to parse through the volumes out there and this a good tight list. Well done kicking off Feed Me Sub Week!

There's always room for a good sausage roll, especially with a pint.

Thanks for the reading, Joe. I really enjoyed “blockchain chicken farm” by Xiaowei Wang. It covered a lot of topics in essay format with how 21st century policy has affected rural Chinese development.

China's Gilded Age by Yuen Yuen Ang is very good as well. It discusses how all corruption is harmful, but not all types of corruption hurt growth
