General Mills CEO Jeffrey Harmening said the company is developing new items “to meet evolving consumer weight management and nutrition needs” — they already launched healthier alternatives to popular products like the new protein-packed Annie’s Macaroni & Cheese “Super Mac.” Sean Connolly, CEO of Slim Jim-maker Conagra, said during an earnings call in October that the company will adjust its assortment if customers want to eat less or gravitate towards a specific diet. I just saw a TikTok this morning of a woman who was appalled by the 80 grams of sugar in the Hailey Bieber smoothie at Erewhon. That scared her away, but the $20 price tag didn’t.
