Good morning :) ☀️
Everyone is going back to the movies. Air conditioning, a dark place to makeout, and franchise films are all part of the reason. "John Wick," "Scream" and "Creed" each had audience scores over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" and "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" decidedly did not. I’m looking forward to seeing “Oppenheimer” in July, and I just might see a few other wild cards at Nitehawk before then.
Lilia co-owner Sean Feeney is opening a slice shop in The Hamptons this summer. It’s set to open “sometime this summer,” according to Feeney. In the meantime, may I recommend Dive Bar Pizza.
It’s getting very difficult to insure your home if you live in California. Last week, State Farm General Insurance Co. announced it’s no longer accepting new applications for property and casualty coverage in the state. State Farm, one of the biggest property and casualty insurers in California and the US, pointed to growing “catastrophe exposure” and substantial increases in construction costs for its decision, which took effect Saturday. The move affects both business and personal applications. Yikes.
