Gosh these women are so smart and such strong communicators. So nice to hear people talk about a brand in tangible ways, not just marketing yada yada. I enjoyed reading this!
Put me in the NYMag fan club - to me it’s so well done!! I’m so excited to read the “cruel kids” cover story. You know a magazine is good when you wanna “save” it for a time you can really enjoy it. I’m sorry they were offered lame travel hacks.
folderol was/is known as much for their ice cream and wine pairings as for people sitting on the sidewalk in front, not sure whether as many NYC loiterers would be willing to do that? also the sidewalk culture difference between different cities (thinking specifically nyc/london/paris here) is fascinating.
"Stress, and focusing on just one component of your routine rather than considering the whole!" I'd give the same exact answer if the question was asked about skin instead of optimal fertility.
If you're not reading Feed Me, literally what are you doing. Though obviously everyone who reads this comment will have read Feed Me... So impressed with how you've monetized Guest Lecture but easily keep it interesting and valuable to your readers.
The current promo on Perelel for recurring vitamin subscriptions overrode/ was a better deal than your code FYI! I was #influenced to purchase from this Q&A, just popping in to give credit where credit is due ♥️. Keep up the incredible work Emily!
Curious: Dr Bayati (if this comment finds you well!), given you've seen women self-curate & self-dose their own supplement routines and over-index to the point of liver damage, do you prefer that people have blood drawn to check for nutrient gaps before supplementing w/ Perelel —'test don't guess' at it were?
I love Pia and have followed her since she lived in NY and I just need that damn olive oil to come back into stock. I also eagerly await an expanded Baroncini home goods empire.
As a GLP-1 girly I do think I have spent a lot on fragrance in the past year but honestly my biggest expenditures have been on bras, underwear and shoes. I've had to replace most of my shoes once and my undergarments twice due to weight loss.
Also, I still eat! And I still like and want to go out to eat. I just eat less. I had steak frites last weekend and brought half the steak home and ate it on a salad the next day like a normal person.

Isn’t it refreshing? I feel really grateful that brands that are doing the work like them want to work with feed me

Last week's New Yorker featured a review of Lai Rai, a Vietnamese natural wine + ice cream bar in Chinatown: https://www.newyorker.com/culture/goings-on/ballet-past-and-present-at-new-york-city-ballet (tbh it seems a little chic-er and sexier and less annoying than Folderol, which knows it's a victim of its own hype at this point)
Ohhhhh I want to go this weekend
Thanks for the thoughtful answer, Alex <3

Casetta had a fun sidewalk situation last summer. So did time again!
but they had outside seating no? folderol doesnt, and people were quite literally sitting on the sidewalk

there was a wave of pictures/video of cig/ice cream/wine on the ground on french social media, wondering whether that would take off in nyc?
Always find the GLP1 panic to be sensationalist at best, all for the data to show people go back to spending the same in food 😂 also I remember there was an ice cream wine bar in NYC—but unsure if it’s still there: https://open.substack.com/pub/thedeligram/p/inside-caleta-bad-habits-new-not?r=8i97p&utm_medium=ios
They closed!!!!
And nobody does GLP1 reporting like you.

Let me shoot their team an email and see if we can get another answer in the comments!

I want olive oil and aprons and dried pasta and sauce from Baroncini empire.
Where did you get steak frites
